Iona: 11 year old medium-haired female tabby
Duchess Iona was found hiding in a garage near Mountain where we have been feeding close to twenty stray and partially feral cats for over a year and a half. We were not able to trace her tattoo
back to her owner. She would be happiest as an only pet as she is used to being the centre of attention and will become jealous if other cats are being patted instead of her. It will take Iona some time to get used to sharing space with another cat. She likes to lounge in
her basket and is generally a low energy cat although occasionally she will zip off the dresser and onto the bed to say hello. She has made friends with her room mate Isla but prefers to stay up high on a dresser in her basket so she can keep an eagle eye on her. Miss
Iona is a very affectionate girl who still has lots of love to give. She likes to be brushed and patted and loves belly rubs and to sit on laps. She has had a vet exam, tested negative for FIV, leukemia and heartworm, is spayed and de-wormed and has an up to date
distemper shot, tattoo and microchip. She will have a dental done soon since she has gingivitis and needs a few teeth removed because she is an older cat.
Miss Iona (our resident diva) is now a pampered puss in her new
forever home. "The Duchess" is an only pet and she will be
kept in the style to which she has grown accustomed while she was in
foster.
