Venus: 5 year old medium-haired grey and white female Maine Coon cross


Venus was discovered hiding in a block heater of a car when she was about 2 years old car in the middle of winter. She was rescued by one of our volunteers when she was discovered in the middle of traffic. She may have been a feral cat as she wasn’t used to being handled. She became a loving cat after being socialized in our care over time and she was adopted over two years ago. She was returned to the shelter in early September since she had been left with a friend (with Tommy (recently adopted) and the friend couldn’t keep them. Venus is a friendly miss as she gets along with other cats and in her previous home she got along well with young children and dogs although she would prefer to be an only pet. She has a habit when she is unsure of people at first she will growl softly but then she will soon be ready to make friends. She will run up for a pat with her tail held high and she enjoys being the centre of attention and like most Maine Coons would enjoy being part of a family.

Venus is a happy cat as an only pet with her foster family who have decided to adopt her.
